Uppercase MD5 Hash
Generate an MD5 hash in uppercase hex (A–F). Some Windows tools and older APIs expect this format.

Uppercase MD5 Hash
An MD5 digest is hex. Case does not change the value, but some systems compare strings case-sensitively. Generate the digest and switch it to uppercase when a receiver wants A–F.
Worked example: Lowercase and uppercase
Text
hello
Both cases
5d41402abc4b2a76b9719d911017c592 5D41402ABC4B2A76B9719D911017C592
Practical tip
Store lowercase in databases and uppercase only at the edge. That prevents duplicate rows that differ only by case.
