Practical tip
Do not use a fast hash as a password store. Use Argon2, bcrypt or scrypt, which are designed to be slow and salted.

Hash Text Online Free FAQs
Is it safe to hash secrets here?
Hashing runs locally. Still, treat production secrets with care and prefer hashing them in your own environment.
Can a hash be reversed?
Not for SHA-2. Short or common inputs can be looked up in rainbow tables, which is why passwords need a slow salted KDF.
