GUID Generator Online
A GUID is Microsoft’s name for a UUID. The value is the same 128-bit identifier; only the wrapping braces and uppercase hex are a Windows convention. Generate one below and copy whichever format your API expects.
Worked example: The same ID as a braced uppercase GUID
GUID
{550E8400-E29B-41D4-A716-446655440000}Normalized UUID
✓ Valid UUID Version: 4 — random Variant: RFC 9562 (10xx)
Practical tip
Most databases store UUIDs without braces. Strip { } before inserting into Postgres UUID or MySQL BINARY(16) columns.

GUID Generator Online FAQs
Is a GUID different from a UUID?
No. GUID and UUID describe the same 128-bit identifier. GUID is the Windows / .NET name.
Should I store GUIDs in uppercase?
Hex case does not change the value. Pick one style for a codebase and stay consistent so diffs stay small.
