Decode an Auth0 JWT
Auth0 tokens use an issuer like https://your-tenant.auth0.com/ and often include custom claims under a namespace URL. Paste a test token to confirm the audience, scopes and roles your tenant is actually issuing.

Auth0 access tokens for an API use RS256 and a kid header. Fetch the matching public key from your tenant's JWKS endpoint to verify them.
How to use this JWT Decoder

- 3Copy the result, then adapt the same steps in your editor, script, or pipeline.
Decode an Auth0 JWT FAQs
Why does my Auth0 access token not decode?
Without an audience parameter Auth0 may issue an opaque access token, which is not a JWT. Request an API audience to get a decodable JWT.
Where do roles appear in an Auth0 token?
Roles are not included by default. Add them with an Action or rule as a custom claim under a namespaced URL such as https://example.com/roles.
